Book free consultationHi! My name is Faith McPhee. I am a 22-year-old professional pet sitter and an ecology student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Although I am in my 20s, I have a decade of pet experience and have been trusted with the care of a variety of animals from dogs to horses. I grew up as a country girl, expressing my passion for nature and animals through fishing, hunting, and caring for my own pets. I got my first dog at 5 years old and would wake up every morning before everyone else to train her (she ended up gaining extra weight because of my antics). Even at my young age, I always understood the importance of fulfilling each pet’s unique needs. Later in my early teens, I started getting pet sitting jobs for chickens, horses, cats, and dogs — all of which I heavily enjoyed. I started to realize that maybe taking care of animals like that was more up my alley than being a veterinarian. Then, in 2018, my family adopted our “first” dog, Zoey, an American Pit Bull terrier mix. I really threw myself into dog training with her and learned the power of reinforcement and understanding with dogs specifically. I completed a beginner obedience class with Zoey and continued training, walking, and sitting other dogs that my family and friends owned. Since then, I have shadowed two dog trainers in my area and created a Rover profile where my pet sitting success soared. I decided to create Faith's Pawssion to finally make my passions come to fruition and materialize my dream of owning a high-quality pet business where every pet is respected and fulfilled.
